Our mission
EMBRACING SPIRAL MOVEMENT FOR ENHANCED FUNCTION
HELIX Performance Physical Therapy embraces the concept of movement as a spiral, acknowledging that all parts of the body are interconnected and contribute to overall function. Specialized techniques are employed that follow the natural helical pathways of the body, targeting areas of tension, imbalance, or limitation.
Embrace the helix within yourself and discover the incredible possibilities of your body’s movement. Together, let us unleash the power of your body’s potential at HELIX Performance Physical Therapy.
WE HELP YOU NAVIGATE THE SPIRALING PATH TO EXCELLENCE, BREAKING THROUGH BARRIERS AND REACHING NEW HEIGHTS.
HELIX, derived from the Greek word “helix” meaning “spiral,” symbolizes the dynamic nature of movement in performance physical therapy and the extraordinary capabilities of the human body.
Just as a helix represents a three-dimensional spiral structure, the human body comprises an intricate and interconnected system of muscles, joints, and tissues that collaborate to produce movement. This concept is fundamental to performance physical therapy.
In the performance physical therapy realm, we understand that movement is a complex symphony of rotations, twists, and spirals rather than a linear process. The human body is designed to move harmoniously, with each joint and muscle playing a vital role in this symphony. By acknowledging and honoring this innate helical nature of movement, we unlock the potential for optimal performance.
We utilize specialized techniques following the body’s natural helical pathways, targeting areas of tension, imbalance, or limitation to get you back to living life on your terms!

DR. WES ANDERSON PT DPT CSCS
Hello, I’m Wes, the founder and lead physical therapist at HELIX, deeply committed to empowering individuals on their journey to optimal health and well-being. Growing up in the SF Bay Area, I have a genuine connection to the local culture and its people.
With over a decade of experience in physical therapy and sports performance, I consider myself fortunate to have honed my skills and now eagerly give back to my community. Upon earning my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, I quickly realized the limitations of the outdated model that focused on examining isolated body parts. Understanding the complexity of the living body, I discovered that everything is interconnected, much like the intricate mechanisms of an analog clock. For example, a change in foot position can affect the feeling in your back. The nervous system plays a crucial role in enabling the body to move effortlessly, and when it’s not functioning optimally, simple tasks can become challenging.
Human movement fascinates me, and I combine this fascination with biomechanics and the power of the nervous system to help my clients regain their full potential in life. I firmly believe in the body’s remarkable capabilities and relentlessly work towards helping my patients achieve their goals. Utilizing manual techniques, integrated movements, and specific breath work, I flood my patients’ nervous systems with new information, creating a more efficient detour route for the body to move. This lifelong fascination has fueled my commitment to stay at the forefront of industry advancements and techniques, ensuring my patients receive the most effective and cutting-edge treatments available.
From a young age, I’ve had an innate desire to help others. My personal experiences with sports injuries while growing up highlighted the importance of rehabilitation, igniting my passion for the medical field and motivating me to make a positive difference in the lives of others. I chose a career in physical therapy because of the profound and meaningful impact it can have on someone’s life. I believe that promoting physical therapy proactively, rather than just reacting to injuries, is crucial, and I aspire to address this flaw in the field.
Recognizing the value of education, I’ve invested significantly in my professional development. Pursuing rigorous academic studies, obtaining advanced certifications, and participating in multiple mentorships and workshops, all to better serve my patients. As a lifelong learner, I remain dedicated to expanding my knowledge and skill set, constantly seeking new opportunities for growth and improvement.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I lead a multifaceted and fulfilling life. I’m a big dog lover and find joy in training and caring for my canine companion, Dallie. In fact, I’ve considered venturing into a side business of dog training, combining my passion for helping people with my love for animals. Photography is another passion of mine, and I’ve been fortunate to travel throughout the US, capturing stunning moments in nature, some of which you may find displayed in our office.
Happiness and positivity are paramount in all aspects of my life. I’ve dedicated myself to creating a cheerful and welcoming environment at HELIX, ensuring that every patient feels valued and supported throughout their journey. My genuine excitement and commitment drive me to help as many people as possible.
Welcome to HELIX Performance Physical Therapy, where I am ready to guide you towards a healthier, happier, and more vibrant life. Discover the transformative power of physical therapy under the care of the HELIX team. Get ready to embark on a journey to live life on your terms!
